NOWHERE was created by DIMITRIS PAPAIOANNOU in 2009 to inaugurate the renovated Main Stage of the Greek National Theatre in Athens.

This central scene is dedicated to the memory of PINA BAUSCH.

NOWHERE explores the nature of the theatrical stage itself, a spatial mechanism continually transformed and redefined by the human presence to denote any place, and yet designed to be a non-place. 26 performers measure and mark out the space using their bodies, pitting themselves against its dimensions and technical capabilities in a site-specific performance that can be presented nowhere else.

Το ΠΟΥΘΕΝΑ δημιουργήθηκε το 2009 από τον ΔΗΜΗΤΡΗ ΠΑΠΑΪΩΑΝΝΟΥ για να εγκαινιάσει την ανακαινισμένη Κεντρική Σκηνή του Εθνικού Θεάτρου.

Αυτή η κεντρική σκηνή του έργου είναι αφιερωμένη στη μνήμη της ΠΙΝΑ ΜΠΑΟΥΣ.

Tο ΠΟΥΘΕΝΑ είναι ένα έργο για τον χώρο της θεατρικής σκηνής. Τον χώρο-μηχανή που μεταβάλλεται διαρκώς και καθορίζεται από την ανθρώπινη παρουσία, για να σημαίνει αμέτρητους τόπους, ενώ έχει σχεδιαστεί για να είναι μη-τόπος. 26 ερμηνευτές μετρούν και αναμετριούνται με τις διαστάσεις και δυνατότητες του χώρου σε ένα ειδικά σχεδιασμένο έργο που δεν θα μπορεί να παρουσιαστεί πουθενά αλλού.
